Many museums in Ireland are hosting events and exhibitions. For example the National Museum of Ireland has a display of artefacts, including the pen that Michael Collins reputedly used to sign the treaty. https://bit.ly/3oQeV1b
The museum also has a temporary display of Sir John Lavery's portraits featured in the new co-curated exhibition between the National Museum of Ireland and the Hugh Lane Gallery. 'Studio & State: The Laverys and the Anglo-Irish Treaty combines the portraits of the signatories from both sides with artefacts to tell the story of how the Free State was secured. The paintings provide an unparalleled record of this pivotal moment in Irish history. It considers the role that John and Hazel Lavery played during the Treaty negotiations and how they negotiated the complex relationships between art, politics and history.
