FUNDRAISING FILM PREMIERE - FOR CANCER CURES

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou presents a cheque for €7,000 to Caroline O'Conor, Director of the Fondation Princesse Grace de Monaco, in support of children’s cancer research. Sir Stelios matched all attendee donations, resulting in a generous sum gifted to the foundation, which funds vital cancer treatments for children in Monaco and France, continuing the legacy of Princess Grace. Held at the Conference Hall of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, the event brought together guests for the film premiere of “Walk on the Wild Side”, a powerful 55-minute documentary by Irish producer Germaine McCormack-Kos that chronicles her cancer recovery and honours the pioneering doctors who made it possible. Co-organised with the Princess Grace Irish Library, which is the cultural arm of the foundation founded by its namesake in 1964, this moving film shares a story of survival and hope for those families.

This film is an uplifting tribute to the pioneering doctors of the early cancer cures, whom the producer Germaine McCormack-Kos met as she went on her own personal journey to recovery, thanks to their life-saving research. It brings a message of hope to those families affected by cancer and highlights the incredible work the doctors undertook, which turned the statistics around in favour of those surviving the disease.

If you missed the event the film can be watched on Amazon and Prime.
